What is Home Health?
Home Health allows a patient to recover from an illness, injury, or surgical procedure in the relaxation and comfort of their own home.
Through Home Health Care Services in Arlington, Texas, homebound patients can receive intermittent Skilled Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology. Home health services may also include: occupational Therapy, Medical Social Worker services and Home Health Aide services for personal care such as assistance with bathing.
A doctor must order home health services, and patients must remain under the care of a physician while on home health services.
We highly encourage patients to maintain regular physician appointments to promote maximum independence and self-care.
Upon receipt of physician referral, our Health Care Professionals in Texas will evaluate the patient and create a plan of care which is coordinated with and supervised by the patient’s physician.
Each patient’s individual and changing needs are incorporated into their plan of care.
Who is Considered Homebound?
A patient is considered homebound when they experience a considerable and taxing effort to leave the home and is in need of support devices or the assistance of another person.
A patient is not required to be bedridden. Homebound status is not affected when absences from the home are in-frequent, of short duration, or if the leave is for medical reasons.
